All we have at our house is network TV, so the fact that our remote is missing isn't THAT big a deal. We only have a few channels and we can scroll through all of them in about 10 seconds.
But, it got me thinking, was the remote control a necessary enabler in the evolution from 1 to 100 million channels? I mean, you can't watch that many channels without it.
